Aquabar "B" is a hardwood and tile underlayment that works as an effective moisture vapor retarder in a wide variety of interior applications. Ideal for use beneath wood flooring and behind or below tile and stone substrates.
Aquabar "B" is a hardwood floor and tile underlayment that protects against moisture vapor related problems. It helps to eliminate bucking, cupping or cracking below wood flooring and also minimizes dust and noise. Also used as a membrane on walls, counter tops or residential showers.
Consisting of two layers or kraft paper laminated with asphalt, Aquabar "B" is a non-reinforced 30/30/30 duplex type Grade "B" paper.

Good price and fast shipping, but did notice a strong asphalt smell
I was concerned about the possibility of asphalt smell before purchasing the product. Other reviews said it wasn't a problem. I've had the product laid out on the subfloor for about a week now. There has been plenty of ventilation and windows open but the smell is still there.
