- Special carbide tip ensures accurate holes and eliminates drill bit wander.
- Life expectancy of the PTB Carbide Bits in Porcelain tile is 30-40 holes with proper usage. When product life is exhausted in porcelain, the PTB Carbide Bit can be used in softer grade materials.
- The No. PTC-WFC Water Feed Clamp Kit provides the necessary supply of pressurized water for bit cooling.
- Holes can be drilled in as little as 20 seconds.
- The PTB Carbide Bits are designed for use in tile only . If drilling in installed tiles, use the correct size masonry bit for drilling the substrate behind the tile.
- Maximum depth of cut is 1/2".
- CAUTION: Must use a constant supply of pressurized water, 1/2" Drill using 700-900 rpm drill speed and rotary action only.

Good but not great
Not as good as I was expecting. I install shower doors and ran across some porcelain tile that my normal bits wouldn't drill through. Searched the net for what I thought was a good product. Didn't want to waste my time on that cheap crap from a local box store. Paid the money and ordered one of these bits. Built a system to contain a constant bath of water on the drill bit like the instructions say. Well I only had to drill 4 holes with this bit but by the time I got to the 4th one the cutting rate had dropped probably 80-90%. For that cost I expected it to last much longer. After all, 3 or 4 holes is what most get from the cheap crap at the box stores. Granted out the box it melted through the tile like butter but just didn't last like I expected. Don't know if I would spend that amount on another one again.
