The EZ Scrape consists of six premium carbide blades spring mounted on an aluminum casting which fits 175 RPM rotary disk floor machines. Removes cutback, multi-purpose adhesives and other hard-to-remove floor residue quickly and easily. The EZ Scrape comes with a plastic clutch installed for use on standard buffers. Optional aluminum clutch plate for use on heavy duty buffers such as the Taylor Tools Extreme Machine available. Use of the aluminum clutch plate on a standard duty buffer with an EZ Scrape may cause damage to the machine. There are two models available to accommodate both 17" grinders, as well as 19" and 20" grinders.

Time Saver

Good investment, I have used it for years for floor prep, the cutter blades last a very long time,
Just flip the blades for a fresh cutting edge. a 25# bag of patch for fresh blade edges and a 50# worn blade, makes short work of removing whatever was on the floor from glue to thinset. always have extra clutch plates available when you snag on an edge or obstruction it will break away and not break the buffer or your wrist.
Hundreds less than the hex-pin plate.

Works well until the mount broke

This is the second unit purchased. The tool does a great job of cutting adhesive getting the floor down to the concrete. The plate is machined out of what appears to be high quality aluminum. The reason for the 3 star rating is a product is only good as the weakest link. That weak link is the plastic mounting ring. The plastic ring broke 6 hours into removing multi purpose carpet glue. Should Taylor decide to put a quality steel ring on this tool I would move my review to a five star.

Awesome tool a must-have

This is a must tool in any installers arsenal.. will remove most heavy dried adhesive, even full spread kangaback, I've had one for many years if you don't have one get one . Buffers are cheap that can be found anywhere.

EZ Scrape

Picked up the 13" disc for my 15" buffer to remove thinset from an area that previously had tile, mastic from an area that had linoleum and overspray wall texture from concrete prior to installing new tile. Did not remove the mastic as I had hoped but it did the job on the overspray and thinset. Worked 100% better when I applied a 50lb dumbell to the buffer! Worth it for the price if you've got a large area to knock out. Make sure you get a dust mask and open the windows because the dust is ridiculous!
