Clever new design allows the spacer to maintain the proper size gap, even when the adjacent wall is undercut. The V-Shape rests against the face of the laminate plank to prevent the spacer from tipping over. The two ends have different thicknesses, one at 3/16" and the other at 1/4", to accommodate various laminate manufacturer's specifications.

Excellent product
They are a little pricey compared to other spacers, but Crain's got us: they are worth every penny. Much, much better product than the wedge or domino style plastic spacers at the big box stores. They make spacing easier and more consistent, especially with undercut drywall.

Other installers are jealous of me.
No baseboards? Drywall too high? These are a must have. They, not only, keep your starter rows in a perfect line, they help hold down that last row on glue down jobs until the glue sets up. They are well made, very sturdy hard plastic. I use them every day and have yet to break one while prying them loose from the glue that squishes out from under the last rows and is dry by the next day. Love them.

Love these spacers, wish I had found them sooner,
Love these spacers, wish I had found them sooner, so much better when your baseboards are set high for carpeting and you are putting in laminate, wood or vinyl planks. They don't slip under baseboards or sheetrock.

Worked just fine!
If you are planning to remove your old baseboards and the sheetrock is a little too high off of the subfloor then the rectangular wedge spacers will just slip back under the wall. The Craine 562 Spacers won't slip back under the wall and worked just fine. Fast shipper. Great product! Thanks!
