The Cool Shield Heat Bond Iron melts heat bond tape quickly and easily while maintaining the cooler top shield temperature. Even on the highest setting of 425° the 482G reaches a maximum heat shield temperature of only 256°.
ROBERTS Cool Shied Heat Bond Iron is a must-have to easily install carpet like a Pro. It quickly melts 3 in. wide heat bond tape, keeps a cooler top shield temperature, and minimizes heat transfer to the carpet to prevent damage to the original look of the carpet. Even on the highest setting of 425°F, the patented Cool Shield technology reaches a maximum heat shield temperature of 256°F. Featuring an adjustable thermostat with heating indicator light, the “S" shaped heating element in this heat bond iron provides even heating and longer heat retention.
