I'm afraid to try because I'm thinking the adhesive will leak out of the hole and leave a stain. Maybe you can suggest a solvent I can use to clean if this happens?

It worked well to get the glue in the bubble in my vinyl.
The product was as advertised. The bubble appears to be gone and once the glue is completely dry my hope is my floor will be as good as new.
