Is a must have tool so I bought another one
This tool is a game changer while installing carpet tile or glue down carpet.
You can adjust to cut taller to tuck under wall base or cut right at the base.
While it's a pain for most to adjust I got 2 of them in which save time not having to mess with the blades.
Time is money and these tools have paid for themselves 10 fold

Great tool
I bought this tool for trimming in stiff carpet tile.
It works great. I used to trim in to an irregular brick wall and it cut perfectly. I used it to trim the toe off existing cove base and then trimmed carpet tile up to the base, it worked great.
I haven’t had a chance to use it on sheet vinyl but I’m pretty sure it will work great.
I can’t get over how long slotted carpet blades last when using the trimmer.
I say buy it!

Socket where blade goes needs to be metal, blades starts eating into plastic with tough carpets.

Great trimmer
It could be more ergonomic, but it does what it is supposed to do. It does take some adjusting, but once set, it will trim flush perfectly (which works great for cabinetry that is receiving no base)

Not the same as the wood one
It's not the same cutter I'm used to in the wooden version. You have to drop the adjustment block down quite a bit to cut tight and not too big. The older one I feel was more adjustable since you could leave the block up a lot more for normal use. It is taking some getting used to but it's still a good tool to have, a big time and blade saver.

I am the same person that wrote the first review and Having used this Trimmer for 5 months now, the only thing I wish is that I would have bought it sooner. It takes a couple jobs to get used to, but if you are gluing carpet with the base on the ground, this will pay for it self quickly. Yes, the blades are a bit of a pain to change, but not any more than any other trimmer. If you have to switch directions a lot, it does take some time to push one blade in and pull another out, but I usually don't have to do it that often. Hands down, this is a must if you are doing glue downs with the base on the ground!

This wall trimmer is a great Idea, but the changing the blade to go a different direction is pain.
This wall trimmer is a great Idea, but the changing the blade to go a different direction is pain. I kind of wish the blade would have been in the middle and could swivel back and forth depending on the direction you were going. It sill isn't a back product and if you have to cut long walls its definitely handy to have, instead of scoring and cutting it with your stair tool. Some of the smaller areas seam to be a toss up on a time saver. If you have someone without a lot of experience, it would allow them to cut walls in as well. I may get faster at changing the blades the more I use it. I haven't given up on it yet. Thanks!
