The ROBERTS Longneck Plus 6 in. Jamb Saw is powered by a 7500 RPM, 1100 Watt industrial grade motor and easily cuts door jambs, trim and molding for installation of new floors. This saw also cuts through brick and cement block with the included masonry blade. Doors as thick as 1-3/4 in. can even be undercut without removal. The Longneck Plus features a vacuum port for dust containment that attaches to any standard vacuum, in addition to an extended, rotating tail for maximum comfort and extra stability. This jamb and undercut saw includes a molded storage and carrying case for between job protection and portability, as well as 2 blades.

Works great but no diamond blades

Love this saw. Bought it to save a few bucks instead of buying the bigger Crain jam saw, big mistake nobody makes 6" diamond blades, almost useless on and stone/brick/metal. Just a huge bummer that a 6" diamond blade hasn't been made yet. Should have bought the Crain.

Great saw!

I've been using this exact saw for 10+ years and it's been great. Been using my partners saw so I ordered myself one just to have and in case his ever goes out. I normally don't like trigger locks but it's very useful with this saw due to design. I love the design but you learn real quick you can't just snatch it up by it's body and the trigger lock makes it alot safer. I don't understand why people say it's hard to set, you turn 2 wing nuts, line the plate up with the lines on the inside and tighten them back down, I've never had a problem with that. This new one has a shop vac attachment (which let's face it, we never use those things) but with the cap left on it, it does a better job of keeping sawdust close instead of blowing it all over the place (not a big deal either way, still have to sweep) This case is tougher than the old one and I'll share a huge tip with yall, the best friend of this saw is your oscillating saw to get in those tight corners and you can cut a little bit out of the casing and the oscillating saw fits in perfectly along with extra jambsaw blades and a small case of extra oscillating blades so it's all right there in 1 spot

Great

I worried because this was less money than my Crain it wouldn't be as good,,,it's better. Motor seems strong and love the way I grip it.

Good with wood blade

I bought this saw to undercut the brick around my fireplace. Bought extra masonry blades, but will be returning them. Although Roberts advertises their masonry blade specifically for brick, I found it to be virtually useless. Went through half the blade and barely cut an 1/8" into the brick. The blade created red hot beads that it flung around which usually bounced back on me (reminded me of welding berries). Wound up using an oscillating saw with a carbide coated metal blade.
The wood blade worked well, but would like to see a threaded adjustment to set height of cut.
I also found that the saw wanted to tip over when using the forward grip. However, the saw moved surprisingly easily and balance pretty well when holding it by the back grip with both hands.

Best Price around

We used this for lots of undercutting not just trim but also a paneled wall. Long handle made it easy to control, less chance of kick back. Best price on line when I ordered it.
